Job Description

Working Environment
As an IT technician you will generally be based at an office desk and spend most of your day working on computers. Each department of an organisation is likely to rely on computer systems therefore you may be required to report to various managers and team leaders.
Hours will generally be a standard 37 hour week, however the time these hours are allocated will vary from company to company. With some companies you will be expected to work during weekdays from 9am to 5pm, whereas others may use a shift rota system including weekends. For larger technology companies 24 hour cover may required in an emergency.

Entry Requirements
Official qualifications are not required for IT jobs; however the more knowledge and experience you can demonstrate will be extremely beneficial for your application. Most organisations will be looking for a minimum of standard grades in GCSE, A-Level or any other equal qualification.
